Now that your lease is almost up, you may be wondering what's next. It's a good idea to start thinking about your lease-end choices, especially if you have 6 months or less remaining in your lease.

We have a designated Lease-Turn In Team at our dealership to help assist you as you approach the end of your current Honda Lease. Our highly trained team will assist you in making the right decision when it comes to your end of lease options.

Ourisman Honda will provide you with a FREE end of lease vehicle inspection evaluating wear & tear, damage and related charges, if any. Additionally, we provide you with a FREE vehicle appraisal to determine the current market value of your vehicle.
With a Honda Leadership Lease™ you generally have three options:
- Option 1: Return your vehicle and lease a new one
- Option 2: Return your leased vehicle to the dealer
- Option 3: Purchase your leased vehicle
Option 1: Return your vehicle and lease a new one.
This option is convenient, easy, and best of all, you get to drive off in a brand new Honda! Ourisman Honda of Bethesda will be happy to show you the latest models and discuss your options.
You will need to schedule a free vehicle inspection during the last two months of your lease. Through our Leadership Leasing Loyalty™ program, we may be able to waive the security deposit when you lease another vehicle through us. You will be responsible for any outstanding payments, excess wear and use, excessive mileage, and any other end of term obligations specified in your lease agreement.
Option 2: Return your leased vehicle to the dealer.
Contact our Lease-Turn In Team to discuss the steps involved in returning your leased vehicle. They can also set an appointment to have your vehicle inspected.
Having the inspection done well in advance of your lease expiration and prior to returning your vehicle allows you to be present for the inspection and gives you time to take care of any needed repairs. You will receive a Vehicle Inspection Report following the inspection.
One week prior to lease-end, arrange an appointment to turn in your vehicle to Ourisman Honda in Bethesda. You will need the items below:
- All Keys to the leased vehicle
- Owner's Manual and Maintenance Records
- Vehicle Return Receipt & Odometer Disclosure Statement
- Vehicle Inspection Report
- Receipts for Completed Repairs, if any.
After you turn in your vehicle, contact the Turn-In Hotline at 1-800-351-6513 to inform Honda that you have returned your vehicle.
- If all payments have been made, your call will prompt the completion process for your account, and you will no longer receive monthly statements.
- If you have payments remaining on your account, it is still your responsibility to ensure that they are made.
- If any end-of-term liabilities apply, they will be billed at a later time.
If you decide to buy your lease vehicle, simply call our Lease-Turn In Team (301-656-1000) for details about purchasing your leased vehicle. Our Lease-Turn In Team can obtain a payoff on your current leased vehicle, help you with the financing process and we will register your vehicle. It really is just that simple.
